Discover Sint-Idesbald
The village is popularly called Baaltje. It is an artists' village, the "Latem-aan-zee", with a few museums, the best known of which is that of the world-famous surrealist painter Paul Delvaux. In addition, the seaside resort has experienced enormous growth in tourism in recent years and many dilapidated villas are being restored or replaced.
Brewery Sint-Idesbald
The brewery is located in the old pigsties of the abbey farm Ten Bogaerde, an impressive site with a rich history. Ten Bogaerde was part of the Cistercian Abbey O.L.V. Ten Duinen, which once had a brewery. We are now continuing this tradition in the historic pigsties. In our cozy café you have a unique view of the brewing installation, the field of work of master brewer Patrick De Waele.
Museum Paul Delvaux
The largest collection of works by Paul Delvaux can be seen in the museum of the same name in Sint-Idesbald, on more than 1000 m² of renovated space. The museum invites you to get acquainted with the paintings, watercolors, drawings, sketchbooks and etchings from the work of the internationally renowned artist.
